1. That Moles are indeed not blind, it does not rely on vision to locate its food or navigate its surrounding's, it has a highly sensitive hairs on its tail, face and feet, the base of these hairs are connected to very sensitive nerve endings which are used to detect vibration caused by predators. Most importantly, the mole has "kinaesthetic" (imprinted pattern of memory)  which  enables it to remember every turn and bend in its tunnel complex and alerts its when there has been any change to this environment, including change in air pressure in the tunnel complex.

2. The mole's latin affix is Talpa Europaea or in lamen terms the "common mole".  There are many varieties of mole found across different continents.

3. The males are called "bucks" and the females are known as "does" though there are some regional variations to this.

4. Moles are very territorial creatures and spend the vast majority of their lives as solitary creatures, however territories can overlap, and they will defend their territory with their life if needs be, the life span of a mole ranges between 3-5 years.
The only time moles will tolerate the presence of other moles is when the males  seek a female for breeding (February-March)

5. A mole needs to consume two thirds of its own bodyweight a day in worms and  other insects (leatherjackets) to survive, it often will consume more than this.

6.The mole is found in a variety of colours ranging from the common black to  sable, apricot and indeed white moles are also encountered by the molecatcher.
